Burnham Beeches Hotel – bride getting ready
Today I was hired to photograph wedding of Stacey & Stuart. I started in Burnham Beeches Hotel (http://www.corushotels.com/burnham-beeches/), capturing the atmosphere of bride getting ready in the hotel room. I photographed all the important details like dress, shoes, veil just before Stacy got dressed up, and then a quick portraits to capture finishing touches of the make-up artist and hair.
The Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Peace Burnham – the ceremony
Once bride got ready we all moved into the Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Peace in Burnham (http://www.rc.net/northampton/ourladyofpeace/), where Stuart and other guests were waiting patiently. The church is relatively bright and light so for once I was not struggling with lack of light. The church is also quite spacious so it allowed me a lot of photographic opportunities from sides and behind, which I always appreciate. I did not appreciate that much the rain, which started just at the moment we left the church…
Back to Burnham Beeches Hotel
The party was again in the Burham Beeches Hotel, in marquee in garden. The rain stopped few minutes after we reached the hotel, so we had a chance to take few group shots, whilst the second photographer Natalie arrived to photograph mostly the mingling guests and kids running around. I spent quite a bit of time with bride and groom walking around the hotel grounds and capturing the newly-weds. Receiving line was followed by dinner and speeches in fading evening light, cutting the cake and first dance was in the dark already.
And beginning of night is the perfect time to kick-start the photo-booth, this time we used some funny props encouraging guests to have a lot of fun.
